EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Master's degree in nursing or related field, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education program, three (3) years general nursing experience, licensure as Registered Nurse by Board of Nurse Examiners for State of Texas, and a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification course accredited by the
American Heart Association (AHA) are required. Psychiatric Mental Health Certification required

JOB DUTIES

-------------------------

* Provide evaluation and management and supportive psychotherapy to adult patients in general mental health clinic Monday Friday (8 5 pm)

* Function as a team member in a multi-disciplinary setting working with psychiatrist, psychologists, social workers, therapist, and other APP s

* Attend and participate in weekly case conference / clinic operations meetings

* Maintain independent panel of patients to include call responsibilities after hours for urgent patient telephone calls, except during sick, personal, or vacation time off

* Cover colleague providers in rotation two weeks yearly when they are off for sick time, personal issues, or vacation time.

* Individualized orientation and on-boarding provided with focused learning opportunities and gradual ramp up.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Mental Health experience preferred
