Please note required hours:
Week 1: Sunday 3:30 pm -12 am and Friday 6:30 am -3 pm
Week 2: Monday 6:30 am -3 pm and Saturday 3:30 pm -12 am

To complete the registration of patients presenting for outpatient services by properly determining service area, required requisitions as needed and proving complete and accurate demographic and insurance information.

Ensures accurate searching and usage of existing Medical Record numbers.
Ensures accuracy and completeness of demographic information.
Ensures accuracy, completeness and verification of insurance information.
Ensures accuracy of attending and primary care physician.
Ensures physician orders are complete, including diagnosis and signature.
Enters/verifies accurate ICD-9 codes.
Accurately enters service area/location codes.
Obtains financial signatures and mandated compliance requirements.
Maintains smooth patient flow with minimum registration wait times.
Maintains knowledge of registration updates by reviewing emails on a regular basis.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned by Supervisor or Director.

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous hospital registration experience preferred
Normal office environment
Alternately standing and sitting
Able to lift up to 25 lbs

Staff adheres to all C.A.R.E. Standards
Demonstrates ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions
Ability to work as a team member
Basic computer skills
Capable of working independent of continuous supervision
