JOB DESCRIPTIONIn the Healthcare Analytics Laboratory at Chicago Booth, teams of MBA students and other graduate students from across campus work with healthcare providers to improve delivery by analyzing large, complex data sets. The Research Professional will work with faculty, staff, students, and sponsors to help scope, organize, plan, and execute/coach these real-world projects. The Research Professional will collaborate on research to convert project topics into publishable papers and possibly teaching case studies. Articles will be targeted towards both healthcare journals and journals in the quantitative sciences.
This position is expected to last for two years with the possibility of an additional year. Candidates need to apply online no later than January 1, 2018. The starting date for the position is July 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Coordinates ongoing research projects between faculty by gathering, compiling, processing, and manipulating data.
-Obtains and organizes information for research from other institutions and government agencies.
-Conducts data preparation and analysis to produce publications including research articles.
-Prepares data for and mentors student teams in the Healthcare Analytics Lab course.
-Maintains effective communication with all members of the faculty and outside institutions.
