ESCO is looking for an independent, self starter with base access to represent us at Whiteman AFB assisting the AM (Area Manager) in coverage of both Convenience and Commissary locations. This position is currently 17 hours per week. Hourly rate is $11.00/hr. MILITARY BASE ACCESS STRONGLY PREFERRED! The AM will determine which responsibilities by facility the Base Manager is to be focused on. Base Manager responsibilities can include any of the following
Call on Commissary store & assist AM:
*Maintain current distribution
*Increase distribution on new items utilizing the tools and processes provided by AM to meet the 30-day Speed to Shelf goal.
*Manage shelf max on all sku s via working with the CAO coordinator
o Stock shelves opportunistically when out-of-stocks exist & back-stock is present
*Secure display activity and build displays as needed
*Secure demonstrations activity and order cases to support promotion
*Responsible for shelf management:
Facings Resets Sign Management NIS s Pricing Coupons Shelf Tags
*Prompt reporting of e - VCM s
*Maintain vendor stocker support group
*Maintain work, price, and store records, etc.
*Maintain proper account call frequency
*Prompt communications of store issues to AM
*Check code dates and proper rotation
*Report timely information utilizing the proper tools and systems:
NIS scans and outcome Display & demo bookings
New item distribution Missing gaps
Call on Convenience store & assist AM:
*Maintain proper call frequency
*Sell all authorized items utilizing checklists & plan-o-grams
o Fill store shelves w/back-stock if opportunities exist
*Scan store for missing gaps via hand-held device and obtain missing distribution
*Inventory and write orders for all open PO s
*Meet with each store manager as scheduled by AM
*Responsible for shelf Management
Facings Resets Communicate min/max issues Pricing Coupons POG Compliance
*Check code dates and proper rotation
*Conduct PM Price Off Starts within first 3 Business Days of Promotion
*Return out of dates as outlined in specific Manufacturers policies
*Timely communication to AM & Program Mgr utilizing the best practice method outlined by AM
*Sell promotions as outlined on Hot Sheet and directed by AM & report results to AM
o Build displays as required
*Maintain Sales Representative Workbook
*Place POS as directed
*Product/Promotion responsibilities as directed by AM
*Complete Merchandising Fixtures (bring product from backroom if inventory is low)
*Report low or out of stock issues to Facility Manager
*Complete Call reporting procedures via hand held device while in store
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
*Military base access strongly preferred
*Good oral and written communication skills
*Must be comfortable utilizing computers, smartphones and handheld devices
*Must be self-motivated and the ability to work independently
*Posses good customer service, organizational and time management skills
*Working in retail conditions, building displays with up to 40lb case weight and pulling stock from the backroom
*Cold environmental conditions (i.e. freezer work at 0 F)
*Prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting and kneeling
*Occasional working outside in varying temperatures ( i.e. outside case lot sales and weekend special events)
*Build, install and move various racks weighing up to 100 lbs.
Hours are flexible but the Base Manager must be available during store hours. A background in grocery and/or retail extremely helpful. Strong computer skills required to track product information.
EXISTING MILITARY BASE ACCESS STRONGLY PREFERRED. TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION YOU WILL NEED MILITARY BASE ACCESS. SUCH ACCESS IS GRANTED BY THE MILITARY NOT EURPAC.
