Job Description for Advertising Purposes
In the Senior Associate role, you will be a part of the PTC revenue team reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager. This is a high exposure role. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to many departmental goals/objectives and lead multiple projects impacting PTC s worldwide finance community. You will regularly interface across multiple functional organizations. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the organization to understand both revenue accounting issues and various financial analyses. Ideal candidates will be action-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced atmosphere where ability to multi-task and strong communication skills are a must. Public Accounting experience is highly recommended as the position will often interact directly senior level management.

Responsibilities:
*Ensure revenue is booked accurately and in accordance with SEC and GAAP guidelines and calculate appropriate allocations on multiple element arrangements
*Execute monthly and quarterly revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivable reconciliations as well as related journal entries and fluctuation analyses
*Accumulate quarterly worldwide revenue forecast and communicate revenue close status to senior level management
*Coordinate, compile, and review support for worldwide revenue judgments (e.g. VSOE, EPT, etc.)
*Liaise with external auditors and ensure requested quarterly review and annual audit support is provided in an accurate and timely manner
*Assist with ad-hoc compliance / revenue projects
*Work closely with international finance teams during monthly and quarterly closes and on special projects. PTC has 19 operating units throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia with financial teams located in Munich, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Travel may be required.

Requirements:
*Degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance or related field
*Experience creating and interpreting ad hoc financial analysis
*Ability to apply technical revenue accounting rules in a variety of unique and complex contracts in a time sensitive environment (quarter and year end)
*Revenue accounting experience a plus
*Experience in the technology or software industry a plus
*Public Accounting firm experience/ CPA a plus
*Exposure to Oracle financial systems, SalesForce.com, Zuora and/or Hyperion a plus
*Able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
*Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels of management, departments and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
*Strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation is a must
