The hyperbaric nurse manages day to day nursing operations. Directs, supervises, orients/trains and evaluates clinical staff. Enforces nursing policies, procedures and standards of operation. Renders individualized comprehensive nursing care, based on nursing process, to meet the patient's physical, psychological, spiritual, social and educational needs. Position is responsible for nursing staff employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, and training. Supervises per diem nurses in designated unit.
Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN or MSN required. CHRN certification upon hire or within one year in the position. 1 year of ICU experience required within the last 5 years of RN experience. CA RN license, BLS and ACLS required and PALS preferred. Charge Nurse experience preferred.
Works accurately and comfortably in confined spaces. Must be able pass the dive physical for the hyperbaric chamber. Must be able to utilize independent decision making skills in a wide variety of situations. Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities. Frequent contact with employees, physicians, patients, patient families. Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines. Perform related duties as required
