This position will be responsible for sales engineering functions for the Customer Account Team. Will support the Account Directors on winning new strategic multi $100M IP, MPLS, Optical, Next Generation Video and SDN initiatives and maximizing existing business for Nokia's Product Portfolio. The portfolio includes next generation IP, MPLS, Ethernet, Optical, Video and Cloud/SDN products.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Partnering with AT&T sales team to drive orders by providing innovative solutions for the customer. Obtains Customer requirements and translates these into a (Customer specific) Solution Design and/or Nokia offer. Lead prioritization of Customer solutions / technical requirements and champions resolution of solution / product gaps internally (also towards Product Groups) Articulates the Nokia vision on technologies and solutions towards the Customer in live presentations and via telepresence, positions Nokia as thought leader on key technological developments.
Leads solution definition and solution design both internal within Nokia as well as towards the Customer. Leads the technical relationship towards the Customer in his/ her specific technology area. Is an integral part of the sales team, leading all technical aspects in support of sales initiatives, including: determination of new or modified functionality, support of customers technical evaluation of products in both technical demonstrations and feature validation.
Location: The candidate must be located in the Greater Los Angeles area
Qualifications EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:
* At least 7 years Sales Engineer experience
* Strong expertise in service provider core and edge IP routing technologies:
* IPv4 and IPv6
* MPLS RSVP, LDP, etc.
* Multicast PIM, IGMP, etc.
* Metro Ethernet / VPLS / VPWS
* Experience with content delivery / caching technologies
* Experience with IPTV & related video technologies
* Experience with Alcatel-Lucent Service Router products (7750/7450)
* Knowledge of SDN and NFV concepts & technologies a plus
* CCIE or equivalent vendor certification a plus
Non-Technical: Customer facing position requires:
* Excellent inter-personal skills
* Excellent verbal & written communications
* Strong presentation skills
* Strong consultative technical sales skills
* Proven experience selling to large service providers
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
