Company Name: Parker Hannifin Corporation Position Title: Senior Design Engineer Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Location: 1390 E. Highland Rd, Macedonia, OH 44056 Summary of Duties: Analyze, research, and design fluid handling components or a system of components to develop or improve existing products, while reducing cost, enhancing performance, or facilitating manufacturing operations. Design products or systems of diverse scope and complexity for assigned programs using a variety of engineering principles from mechanical, electrical, packaging, or other engineering disciplines. Develop conceptual and detailed designs by analyzing product or equipment specifications, performance requirements, and existing manufacturing capability. Perform diverse and complex design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of mechanical or electromechanical components, subsystems, and systems by applying engineering principles and developing new or unique analysis tools. Determine feasibility of designing new equipment or modifying existing equipment considering technical and economic factors, available resources, time constraints, and company planning. Develop acceptance, engineering evaluation, development, qualification, and certification test plans, procedures, and reports. Compile and analyze operation, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment. Investigate pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements. Prepare or direct preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings, assembly drawings, and schematics by coordinating with designers, drafters, or other engineers, interpreting customer and functional requirements, or by using engineering computer-aided design tools and following industry or military drawing standards. Refine and enhance products and processes by applying continuous improvement principles and techniques in design and manufacturing areas. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field and two (2) years experience in the offered role or as a Design Engineer or related role. Demonstrated experience must include: developing both positive displacement and centrifugal pump mechanisms; AC and Brushless DC motor interfacing knowledge with electronic control; and conceptualization, product development, prototype validation, qualification, and production support of complex precision fluid pumping devices and systems.
