SENIOR PRODUCTION ANALYST

SUMMARY

Responsible for serving as the primary point of software product implementation and the effectiveness of the production environment for Alliant Insurance. The Senior Software Engineer relies on a broad knowledge of software products and good working relationships with other IT and corporate teams. Provides backup to Software Engineers for operational support needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Coordinates all implementation steps prior to product and feature launch, working with Software Development and Engineering teams;
* Ensures that necessary tools are constructed for impacted teams both in IT and other areas of the business;
* Works with Software Engineers and Technical Writers to ensure system documentation is current, accessible, and available in the appropriate format(s);
* Reviews and organizes support load, finding the appropriate operations groups to transition those duties to;
* Works with Development Manager to prioritize changes and product modifications that will increase the effectiveness of the production environment and minimize operational tasking;
* Prior to product and feature deployments, works with scrum team to identify all implementation steps and addresses them individually or delegates to others inside and outside of IT;
* Establishes regular communication channels with third parties and other actors as necessary to facilitate ongoing production challenges;
* Represents the Development team in change control and related deployment planning sessions, ensuring changes follow governance steps and affected teams are on script;
* Monitors the back out queues, exception logs, and other areas specified by Development;
* Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor s degree in Communications or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 4 years experience with software product support, implementations, and information technology exposure

SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Logical troubleshooting to create reproduction steps
Understanding of Agile development methodology
Ability to interface with a wide spectrum of people, from senior executives to potential clients
Genuine interest to advocate and communicate the needs of internal customers
Ability to clearly understand business processes in order to communicate them to Software Developers
General Microsoft Office products experience in Outlook, Power Point, Word and Excel
