JOB DESCRIPTIONSenior Project Engineer
Location: Kohler, WI
Are you an engineer looking to grow your career with a world class privately held company* We are looking for a senior project engineer to join our New Product Development team focused on showering and bathing products!
As a staff engineer for New Product Development (NPD), you will be driving innovation for KOHLER branded showering and bathing products and user experiences. If you re the type of engineer who likes to get into the details of a design, but also craves the understanding of how your work fits into the larger picture, this position is for you. Working in highly cross-functional teams, you will own and influence key projects while delighting consumers and contributing to a global leader in the plumbing industry. We are looking for individuals with a passion for product development and a history of project execution.
You will determine technical feasibility of new concepts, develop designs, perform risk assessments, prepare detailed project plans, engineering standards, design specifications, test specifications, test documentation, project cost estimates, and product cost analyses as needed to support product development. This position requires technical innovation as well as a high level of technical skill in the areas of design, development, and testing of products and components. This candidate is expected to lead projects with moderate to high complexity with potential to oversee other engineer s activities in technology platform development.
Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:
* Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET accredited program. Any engineering degrees to be considered given adequate demonstration of mechanical aptitude.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design engineering. Prefer product development experience and working knowledge in CAD.
