Description:
NRF Site Assessment has an opening for a Radiological
Auditor. This position has professional development and
growth opportunities for high performers who seek to use
their investigative skills to improve NRF by identifying
small trends and process improvements. The selected
candidate will interact with NRF management, NNL
auditors, and IBO representatives.
As a member of the NRF Site Assessment Team, the Auditor
will evaluate performance in topical areas related to
the radiological controls program.
In support of these evaluations, the auditor will:
* Review records
* Observe work in progress
* Inspect site facilities
* Conduct formal audit in-briefs and out-briefs
* Follow up on previously identified problems
The auditor will write and publish reports documenting
the following:
* Audit findings
* Surveillance findings
* Evaluation findings
* Assessment findings
* Observations and improvement recommendations
The Auditor must:
* Work independently
* Meet strict deadlines and schedules
* Serve as a member of the audit team and support team
projects
* Balance multiple duties and responsibilities
simultaneously, including collateral duties that are
essential to the proper operation of the group
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are
critical for this position. Auditors frequently
communicate with workers and managers at all levels of
the organization. The selected candidate must be able to
clearly and succinctly express their ideas and
conclusions.
The following qualifications are required:
* Radiation and Contamination Worker
* Current or previous Engineer of Radiological Work.
If qualification must be obtained, transfer will be
contingent upon qualification
* Additional qualifications may be required after
transfer
Education Requirements for Advanced Level:
B.S. degree in a technical or science related field from
an accredited college or university + 4 years of related
experience based on an exceptional performance trend

M.S. degree in a technical or science related field from
an accredited college or university + 2 years of related
experience based on an exceptional performance trend
Education Requirements for Senior Level:
B.S. degree in a technical or science related field from
an accredited college or university + 6 years of related
experience based on an exceptional performance trend

M.S. degree in a technical or science related field from
an accredited college or university + 4 years of related
experience based on an exceptional performance trend
