Summary: Evaluation, direction, and provision of speech-pathology services to clients in the home in accordance with agency policies and procedures, applicable health care standards, and governmental laws and regulations.Requirements:
Licenses/Certifications:* Possesses a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP), and who meets state and Federal guidelines and either of the following requirements:o Is licensed as a speech language pathologist by the State in which the individual furnishes such service; or other criteria defined in Education section.* Current CPR certification.* Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.* Active/current agency health requirements.* Must complete required department competencies to validate and maintain competency.Education/Experience:Education: Possesses a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP), and who meets either of the following requirements:
o If the State does not license speech-language pathologists:1. Must successfully completed 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or is in the process ofaccumulating such supervised clinical experience);2. Performed not less than 9 months of supervised full-time SLP services after obtaining a master's ordoctoral degree in SLP or a related field; and3. Successfully completed an approved national examination in SLP
Experience: Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in hospital setting - medical/surgical, community/home health or skilled nursing experience preferred. Management experience not required; but responsible for supervising home health aides.
