Position Overview



As the Group Manager, Product Owners you will manage a team of Product Owners who play a key role on the Agile Scrum teams and in the success of projects. The Product Owner works closely with the Product Management team and customers to understand the market needs and to drive daily project management and business initiatives. Product Owners represent the team between sales and technology and drive Product delivery from ideation through execution.



60% Leadership



*

Management - Provide direction to a group of 11 Product Owners through daily execution, training and development, quarterly/annual performance reviews, 1:1 s and team meetings.
*

Business Partnership Advocates and aligns business objectives with technology strategies to deliver solutions enabling strategic business initiatives and delivering operational efficiencies
*

Performance Management Accountable for the productivity, work quality, collaboration, and positive, engaging behavior of team members. Provides individual team members with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities supporting career development and formation of effective teams. Ability to manage team members at a variety of levels.



30% Strategy



*

Strategy & Roadmap Accountable for strategy and capability roadmap (translating capabilities into solutions) for area of responsibility. Identify opportunities and assess current state.
*

Develops strategic and operational plans for the work group, manages execution, and measures results.
*

Solutions Approach During project definition/initiation, accountable for defining high-level, shared vision/approach. Thoughtfully coordinate the deployment of technology solutions to ensure an exceptional end-user experience.
*

Industry Knowledge Remain informed of relevant business trends enabling strong contributions to the strategic planning process.



10% Misc Responsibilities As Needed





Required:



*

Bachelor s degree or higher in accounting, computer science, finance, information science, business management, or related field
*

8+ years experience as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Manager position.
*

3+ years of experience managing a team of Project Managers, Product Owners or Business Analysts
*

3+ years providing team direction, strategy and training and development
*

2+ years experience working in an Agile environment
*

Advanced leadership and management skills including conflict resolution and outstanding negotiation skills
*

Strong client-service background with excellent interpersonal, presentation/facilitation, and written communication skills; and the ability to cast a wide influence including outside of immediate line of reporting
*

Ability to easily grasp and communicate complex ideas and synthesize clear business requirements from customer inputs, effectively prioritizing requirements and making informed project tradeoffs, and map business requirements to appropriate functional/technical requirements
*

Deep understanding of the project delivery process and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
*

Experience managing scope and expectations of large technology projects including resources (onsite and offshore), budgets, schedules, reporting, milestones, and deadlines; developing high-level financial documents on potential technology solutions; and presenting cost/benefit and strategic analysis to leadership able to do this on multiple projects concurrently
*

Available to travel up to 20% or as needed
