Job Description
Manage the Metallurgical laboratory team. Conduct specialized test and analyze data to verify that our products are in compliance with material/heat treat specifications. Determine the cause and source of any defects. Conduct inspection on appearance, presence of scales, rust, or cracks. Use precision instruments to analyze and test sample pieces. Must be familiar with micro hardness testers, stereoscope, microscope, protographic equipment, hardness testers, gauges, micrometers, and torsional strength test machines. Perform control test on weld and induction hardened parts, machine audits on furnace surveys. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
