Software-acceleration is one of the hottest topic in the world of computing. With the advent of machine learning and other high complexity workloads, Xilinx FPGAs have emerged as the ideal custom computing platform.

Xilinx is look for highly motivated Software Application Engineers with an embedded software background to drive customer adoption of the SDSoC development environment.

The SDSoC flow allows software developers working in C, C or OpenCL to easily and rapidly target FPGAs such as Zynq Ultrascale devices. SDSoC comes with a full-system optimizing compiler which automates software acceleration in programmable logic, thereby opening unprecedented computing possibilities.

In this role, you will be working on the bleeding edge of software acceleration technology by helping customers get their 'all programmable' platforms up and running.

Responsibilities:

* You will be working very closely with customers, partners, FAEs and Xilinx R&D to ensure successful deployment of the technology and rapid resolution of issues and translate feedback into product enhancements.

* You will propose new features and enhancements and will collaborate with software development and marketing to ensure the SDSoC environment continues to deliver improved usability and customer visible quality.

* You will author technical documentation, training materials and/or white-papers that explain and promote new features and may be required to present these to customers, partners and FAEs. Occasional travel will be required.

Organization:

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Excellent communication and technical presentation skills, both verbal and written.

* Strong knowledge of embedded C/C

* Embedded processors such as ARM

* Embedded Linux or other embedded RTOS

* Linux kernel builds

* Working with low-level drivers

* Customizing scripts for board hand-off

* Troubleshooting board bring-up

Experience in the following areas would be a strong plus:

* Xilinx Zynq or similar all programmable platforms

* FPGA hardware design flow

* OpenCL language

* OpenCV library



Education:

* BS in CE/CS 9 years relevant experience, or an MS in CE/CS 7 years of relevant experience in embedded software engineering.
