Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating clinical, management and operational oversight of the Sterile Processing Department. Responsible for ensuring that such functions are within the limitations of laws, regulations, education, and hospital policies and procedures. Direct oversight and responsibility in day to day operational activities such as supervision, quality assurance, and financial integrity management utilizes and ensures best practices in the department. Leads, manages, reviews, trains, and assigns work within all functions within the department. Oversees and coordinates functions related to but not limited to decontamination, reprocessing, sterilization of instruments, repairs and replacement. Responsible for budget management and financial oversight of the department. Oversees and coordinates equipment maintenance, minor medical equipment and supplies. Handles repairs & maintenance, vendor relations. Responsible for structured record keeping functions to ensure compliance with Federal, State & any accreditation requirement (i.e. Joint Commission) at LMC.


Minimum 5 years S.P.D. experience with minimum of 2 years in management is strongly preferred and knowledge of Operating Room functions

Bachelors Degree Required in a related field
