Description/Job Summary

Responsible for the coordination of all sourcing related functions associated with the procurement of
Aftermarket commodities and services. This position is also responsible for ongoing evaluation of the
supplier base in the areas of; product quality, delivery performance, competitive pricing and overall
capability. Assessment of both existing and new suppliers will be in collaboration with the respective
Aftermarket, Engineering, Supplier Development, and Sourcing teams.


Serve as point of contact for all Aftermarket purchases
Coordinate Sourcing team members, as necessary, in the procurement of aftermarket related
commodities and services
Negotiate individual purchases and long-term Supplier Purchase Agreements
Regular review of new and existing supplier qualifications in association with the Engineering ,
Quality and Supplier Development Teams
Work with suppliers to preserve the Atlas Copco Aftermarket parts business by preventing our
suppliers from quoting and delivering directly to our customers (i.e. Supplier Agreements)
Perform necessary follow-up and expediting activities to ensure delivery as required by
manufacturing, customer, and distribution schedules
Develop and maintain a common aftermarket part use and pricing matrix
Work with Supplier Development to monitor, report, and take necessary action on supplier
quality, delivery, and pricing related issues
Act as technical liaison between Supplier and Engineering and be acutely aware of delivery
Report and communicate all material cost deviations and assist AM (where necessary) in
producing budgets so material deviations can be monitored.
Develop, maintain, and promote strong supplier relationships through courteous, impartial,
and objective dealings in accordance with the Atlas Copco Business Code of Practice
Comply with all safety rules, regulations, and OSHA requirements

Required Qualifications

5-7 Years Sourcing/Purchasing Experience
College Degree in a related subject is preferable; equivalent work experience in a
technical/manufacturing environment may be acceptable
Available for both domestic and international business travel (10%)
Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
Strong team working skills with the ability to lead and delegate without authority
Possess willingness to develop and go the extra mile
Must be proactive, assertive, and able to work in a self-directed manner across departments
Must have high degree of attention to detail and capable of handling multiple tasks
Strong Microsoft Office skills, notably in Excel
Proven ability to analyze and compare material cost information from a wide range of sources,
including data mining within an integrated business system
SAP ERP experience a plus
