Envision Physician Services is a leading provider of physician services for emergency departments, inpatient physician services, inpatient radiology management programs, acute care surgery and anesthesiology services. We have exclusive contracts with client hospitals in nearly 42 states. We have an excellent opportunity for a SVP Clinical Leadership to join our team!

The position of Senior Vice President (SVP) provides management support of operational and clinical aspects of Emergency Medicine and Inpatient Services operations. The SVP shares the responsibility for divisional oversight of profit, loss and delivery of services for assigned contracts. The position shall report to the respective physician designated by Company ( Company s Designee ), who shall initially hold the position of Divisional EVP, on operational, administrative and clinical matters related to the fulfillment of contracts with client hospitals. Eestablishes working relationships with the Divisional staff, Client Administrators, and Clinical Services in their respective areas. The SVP will establish relationships with the Site Medical Directors, clinical providers and hospital administrative teams at the sites of their responsibility.


* Accountable for profitability of specific hospital/system contracts with the division, client retention and price adjustment of divisional contracts. Active participant in the development of new business within the division.

* Evaluation of provider compensation and hours of coverage at their sites. Oversight and authority to make staffing decisions at their sites.

* Interacts with the Division s Director/Manager of Finance who has responsibility for conducting financial analysis as it relates to assigned clients. Assist with preparation on annual operation budget, goals and objectives and in Strategic Planning goals as they relate to the Division and their facilities.

Departmental Operations:

The SVP will provide assistance to the local Medical Directors in the following areas: improving departmental efficiency; creating a professional atmosphere conducive to a high standard of patient care; investigating patient complaints and incident reports; and interaction with the Chiefs of Service of the Medical Staffs. The SVP shall assist the Directors of Clinical Services and the Nursing Leadership of the respective Service Lines to develop a high standard of patient care; to coordinate work flow between the Emergency Department and other ancillary departments; and to assist in the in-service training of department personnel, as requested.

Start Up Responsibilities:

In order to ensure that new contracts are established as smoothly as possible, the SVP assigned to the start-up of a contract shall be responsible for the duties as outlined. Until such time as a Medical Director can be identified and on site, the SVP will also interview the staff physicians and Medical Director Candidates. The assigned SVP, or his designee, will be responsible for the orientation of the new Medical Director and/or new physicians of assigned clients. The assigned SVP will analyze existing policies and make recommendations for appropriateness of policies on transfer agreements, laboratory and x-ray protocols, and other clinical protocols affecting the delivery of services.

The SVP is responsible for various quality, risk management, operational, business development and administration functions as assigned.


Medical Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or related Medical field required, plus an MBA is preferred. 10 years proven leadership experience in large Physician Services environment. Strong communications and leadership with a strong financial accumen
