Department Marketing Statement

Precision Fluidics Division is known for its innovative design and manufacture of miniature liquid and pneumatic diaphragm pumps, proportional, pneumatic and liquid control valves, syringe pumps and system solutions. These products control movement and direction of precise amounts of fluid in medical devices and life science analytical instruments as well as diagnostic, gas detection and printing systems. From kidney dialysis, patient monitoring and gas chromatography equipment, Precision Fluidics products are based on their superior performance and reliability. Some applications which contain our products include anesthesia instruments, patient ventilators, medical mannequin testing, chemical agent detection (mining and airport security), air quality monitoring, gas chromatography and dental equipment.

Responsibilities

TARGET START DATE: January 2nd 2018 for approx. 6 months. POSITION SUMMARY: Provide technical support for engineers working in areas such as manufacturing, design, development, and testing. Develop, evaluate and propose the test procedures and systems to properly evaluate new and existing products. Responsible for improving and maintaining the accuracy and precision of the test equipment as well as designing and upgrading the fixtures. Essential Functions Work with the manufacturing engineers to identify, develop and/or upgrade the test equipment and procedures to improve the quality and yield Work with the Quality Department in developing and supporting the test documentation, calibration procedures Designing and developing the new test equipment, the test procedures, and/or fixtures to ensure that the product performance and quality Document the test equipment, procedures, test reports to comply with ISO9001 quality requirements Conduct tests or experiments to evaluate the product performance and root causes of the failures Collaborate with engineers on the requirements for design validation testing, potential design changes, product specifications, serviceability of products. Promote and contribute to team environment. Performs all other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Currently enrolled in a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline. Preferred if candidate has completed freshman and sophomore years of college. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Understanding of blueprint reading / mechanical drawings Ability to use basic hand tools CAD experience (Inventor a plus) Knowledge of standard fabrication equipment and practices such as milling machines and lathes Basic understanding of inspection hand tools. (Calipers, tape measure, micrometer, gage pins, etc.) Familiar with Windows Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Basic knowledge of statistical processing, measurement errors, Gauge R&R studies Good communication skills Demonstration of good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships is required. Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Full time, 40 hours per week. Start time is flexible within normal business hours.
