JetBlue took to the air on February 11, 2000 with the inauguration of service between New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Fort Lauderdale, FL. The airline now serves more than 70 BlueCities around the country, and 12 countries in the Caribbean and Latin America through an environmentally friendly fleet of 120 Airbus A320 aircraft and 49 EMBRAER 190 aircraft. Every JetBlue aircraft is outfitted with roomy all-leather seats, each equipped with free live satellite television offering DIRECTV® programming.
