We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and provide leadership to incumbent staff performing maintenance and custodial duties. This job is located in Medford, MN (near Owatonna). This is an excellent full-time position which includes benefits, paid time off and holiday pay.
Candidates must possess a valid state driver’s license and must have a working knowledge of and operational experience with manual and power tools as well as methods and practices of maintenance. Must have at least 8 years of experience in the following skills: carpentry, plumbing, light electrical, machine repair and inspection, painting and custodial. Ideal candidate will have led or managed a staff of 4 or more employees.
Ideal candidate will have certification and training in OSHA standards and a background in scheduling preventative maintenance. The physical requirements are: Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Static Positioning, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting up to 40 pounds alone and up to 100 pounds with assistance, Talking, Hearing, Seeing, Repetitive Motions, Carrying and Driving. Workers in this position are regularly exposed to a combination of normal office type environments, shop environments and outdoors which includes conditions of exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise and varying weather conditions and temperatures.
Minimum requirements include: any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, authorization to work in the US, reliable transportation to work, available to work varying shifts to include rotation shifts, weekends and holidays. Will be "on-call" for emergency situations as they arise. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
