Overview:Our Aviation TransportationGroup has an immediate opening for the seasoned airportengineer/project manager. This is a key leadership position locatedin our Portland, Maine office. Our Aviation Group provides comprehensiveaviation consulting services to a wide-range of airports through the northeast. Insupport our expending market area, we are seeking an energetic individual toplay avital role in ourorganization.Our Transportation Group provides comprehensive planning, design, and engineering services for all phases of airports and aviation, bridge, rail, roadway, and transit projects. With a unique multidisciplinary team approach, we're equipped with state-of-the-art survey tools, simulation models, specialized design software, and computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) facilities. The ongoing success of our team allows you to set the pace of your career.Responsibilities:Servicesprovided to our clientsincludeall aspects of aviation consulting including planning, environmental permitting, design development and construction administration/oversight. Representative projects include upgrades torunways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, lighting systems, terminal upgrades andvarious landside improvements. Duties to includeall aspects of project oversight and management from inception to completion, as well asInternal and external (client) coordination. This positionrequires interfacewith professional engineers/scientistand well as funding/regulatory agencies ona continual basis.Qualifications:Extensive airside aviation consulting experience and in depth knowledge of FAA criteria is required for this high level position.-Proficiency in AutoCAD, HyrdoCAD and LDD Required. -Bachelor's degree in civil engineeringrequired-At least 10 years ofaviation design/projectmanagementexperience- Strong aviation/airport design skills- Extensive knowledge of AIP funding requirements and design (AC) standards-P.E. in Maine (or equivalent) essential; Ability to obtain reciprocity in neighboring states required as well
