Superior Technical Resources is looking for SYSTEMS ENGINEER STAFF for our client located in Anaheim, CA. Systems Engineer Staff Job Description: Technical position in System Engineering responsible for GPS navigation related system engineering tasking. This position will be responsible for performing a variety of systems engineering tasks ranging from requirements identification to architectural design. This position will support a number of different projects involving GPS systems. This position will require a current Secret Clearance with a government background investigation that is within 5 years. The successful candidate will perform analysis of customer requirements for generation of systems engineering documentation products. Develop proposed architectures for GPS products and perform engineering analysis of possible alternatives. Participate in product development process including structured requirements and design reviews where systems engineering is an overarching principal. Generate technical engineering documentation per program requirements. Support security review and approval for GPS and other navigation system designs, and act as a liaison with security approval agencies. Must have basic self-management skills to estimate, schedule, track and self-monitor cost and schedule progress on special access tasks, and report progress to non-cleared line management personnel. Required Technical Skills: • Knowledge of GPS systems operations. • Background in hardware design of systems. • Background in hardware and/or software architectural design and systems testing. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • System engineering skills proven through academic and practical work with broad based technical experience and capabilities in the domain of hardware, software, and systems design and test. • Systems engineering principals proven through demonstrated implementation of CMMI or equivalent processes. • System design principles, GPS Navigation algorithm design experience, or navigation algorithm design understanding. • Strong sense of leadership and teamwork combined with a customer focuses, hands-on approach to systems engineering. • Ability to transform complex systems GPS requirements into systems architectures and design documentation supporting security certification. • Ability to understand complex systems, designs, and implementations and document them in accordance with security requirements. • Automated requirements management tools experience (Requisite Pro, DOORS, or SLATE) highly desired. Required Skills / Qualifications: Required Education/Experience: • Bachelor's degree in EE required • Minimum of 6 years hardware systems design experience or Minimum of 6 years GPS experience incorporating systems engineering activities. • Current Secret Clearance with a government background investigation is required. Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Graduate degree a plus.
