This job is based in Erie County. All applicants must either live in Erie County or be very familiar and comfortable traveling throughout the area.
The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) is a nationally recognized, dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to providing immediate, effective and comprehensive employment services to men and women with recent criminal convictions. CEO will be establishing a pilot project to expand to upstate New York. CEO is seeking two (2) Site Supervisors each of whom will oversee a work crew of approximately 5-10 program participants. The Site Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that the work crews operate within CEO’s guidelines for training, supervision and discipline.
Some Essential Functions:
Health & Safety
• Monitor working conditions for hazards referring routinely to NWP’s Health & Safety manual.
• Ensure that crew members never use inappropriate methods or materials that could injure team members, or passersby.
Crew Management
• Assign crew members to specific job duties, setting reasonable production goals for their completion.
• Monitor and evaluate individual crew members for job performance and productivity daily.
• Provide appropriate instruction, training and feedback as outlined by job goals and CEO daily participant evaluation.
• Confirmation of daily crew attendance and distribution of the daily payroll
• Mentor clients on employment etiquette.
• Ensure daily work orders are completed to a high standard
Record Keeping & Reporting
• Maintain a daily log that notes work location, task, production and unusual circumstances as they arise at the work site.
• Report promptly to the County Coordinator on any matter that threatens the smooth operation of the training crew (e.g., injuries, hazardous conditions, flagrant behavioral problems with crew members, and inadequate tools & supplies).
• Notify office immediately in cases of emergency.
