Experienced Facilities Manager needed for growing nonprofit energy efficiency training and technical services organization in the Bronx. Oversees and engages in activities required to maintain optimal internal and external facility conditions, with an emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and security. Coordinates and supervises all work related to facilities management, with the goal of reducing down time and providing operational support.

Responsibilities include the following and may change as needed:
-Ensures AEA facilities and grounds are properly cleaned and maintained at all times.
-Oversees facility security, ensuring daily building opening, closing and reception coverage.
-Oversees compliance with MSDS documentation and Employee Right-to-Know requirements.
-Procures and provides safety equipment as required and requested.
-Manages hazardous materials disposal in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
-Maintains and coordinates scheduling and assignment of training and meeting rooms, including set up and secure storage of electronic presentation equipment.
-Maintains building asset and equipment inventory, including tracking, maintenance, repair, disposal and replacement.
-Coordinates office relocations, renovations, and other projects as requested.
-Oversees company vehicle compliance, including registration, inspections, maintenance, repairs, and accident documentation and reporting.
-Where applicable, manages contractors performing services in his or her area of responsibility.

Qualifications and Experience:
-Minimum of High School Diploma required; certification(s) in facilities management, materials management and/or project management desired.
-Previous experience performing facilities management functions required.
-Supervisory experience, including the ability to effectively solicit and coordinate the work of outside contractors.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.
-Experience in and ability to troubleshoot and perform minor facility and equipment repairs and renovations.
-Knowledge of and experience in effectively administering OSHA and EPA compliance.
-Experience overseeing maintenance of fixed and movable assets, including electronic office equipment.
-Experience maintaining vehicles in working order in compliance with local law.
-Must be able to bend, lift, carry and transfer objects weighing between 35-50 pounds.
-Prefer knowledge of and/or interest in application of green and sustainable building management practices.
