Superior Technical Resources is currently looking for a Project Manager for one of our clients in Glendale, CA Job Description: The Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing product development. This entails active involvement through all phases of product development, including: pre-production, production, alpha, beta; schedule maintenance, budget management and milestone reviews and payments. The Project Manager drives communication between all vital parties involved, both internal and external to the organization, to ensure that development resources are properly focused to achieve project goals. The Project Manager is accountable for the schedule, budget, and quality of titles produced and managed. Job duties include: •Accountable for creating and maintaining project plans and schedules. Managing project resources and needs to meet production schedules and budgets. •Direct the development efforts from concept to final product release and provide or maintain the product’s 'creative vision.' •Identify and resolve conflicts between schedule, budget and design goals. •Track projects against schedule, budget and milestone objectives. •Conduct risk assessment and mitigation plan development. •Collaborate with Technology, Art, and Design directors and Marketing managers to ensure the product receives proper and adequate scrutiny and support in those disciplines throughout the project life cycle. •Ensures all necessary project documentation is complete and up-to-date. •Identify, contract and direct individuals or organizations outside the project in the creation of assets such as independent contractors, talent, music, sound, voice and video production. •Foster positive working relationship and teamwork with an emphasis on communication. •Manage recurring game play and debugging sessions and work closely with test leads to prioritize and triage bugs. •Some travel may be required. EOE M/F/D/V Required Skills / Qualifications: Experience Mimimum 2 years experience in Project Manager level responsibility on at least two production teams or the equivalent type of responsibility managing game developers, with exceptional on-time and profitability history Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple titles, internal/external developers, internal/external resources. Minimum one year of experience in of all aspects of game production management, planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, programming/technology, design, art, audio, video, localization, QA . Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) Good knowledge of game development methodologies Ability to work with an established production and team culture Excellent organizational skills, problem solving ability and positive attitude Superior communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work under pressure and see things through Self-directing and self-pacing
