VWR is a great place to work and we look forward to adding more outstanding members to our Company!JOB DESCRIPTIONSupervising, managing and maintaining the Import Compliance Organization and provide day-to-day for VWRs import activities to all businesses that are importing into the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.Providing a management-level interface with all VWR International entities and functions to provide guidance on current and future import regulatory requirements as they relate to VWRs Import business plans and future product offerings.As part of this, stay current with all proposed and approved regulatory changes that could impact VWRs importation of products into these countries. Develop and oversee periodic import compliance training for personnel in the Import Compliance Organization. As part of this, work with third party consultants when appropriate to assure interesting and high quality classes. Serve as VWRs United States Import Compliance Administrator and primary interface with local Customs and other affected regulatory agencies when issues arise. Identify all VWR associates that initiate import shipments. Assure that they have the training and qualifications necessary to assure that the shipments they undertake are in compliance with all import and other government agency regulations. On all shipments that require an import permit, OGA requirements, labelingto assure that vendor shipments are in compliance with regulatory requirements prior to cargo movements. Serve as the primary interface with the VWR Legal Department and outside legal counsel on export issues including, but not limited to denied parties, embargoed countries, anti-boycott issues and red flag issues for the Import Business. Maintain and update the Import Compliance Manual and related standard operating procedures. Works with the Manager, Europe Import/Export Compliance and Manager, Global Export Compliance to identify and develop global work processes for exports into their respective areas.JOB REQUIREMENTS Degree Recommended with a minimum of 5-8 years of ex
