VWR International is a great place to work and we look forward to adding more outstanding members to our team!JOB DESCRIPTION: Focused in the biotechnology market segment the person in this position will build and implement VWRs vision, strategy and tactics for delivering profitable sales growth. The qualified candidate will be responsible for management of the group purchasing agreement with BIO, BIOCOM, BIOTECanada, and affiliated State and Provincial organizations.In addition to contract management, specific account targets will be the focal point within each of this position.It will be the Directors responsibility to lead VWRs sales effort with the identified accounts by coordinating a matrix-selling environment consisting of Sales Representatives, Region Managers and Area Vice Presidents.The Director will also manage the national pricing in conjunction with the pricing coordinator to maintain profitability and competitiveness for growth, and negotiate with manufactures to leverage specific pricing and programs.The Director will also be closely tied to VWRs Category Management Team in West Chester, PA, ensuring that VWR is presenting the right products, suppliers and marketing collateral to the defined Market Segments.The expectation is that the Director will conduct conference calls monthly (At a minimum) to assure all efforts are in sync and progressing forward. The Director will attend key local and North American trade conferences to gain Market knowledge and further refine VWRs Market strategy.It is expected that this position will require approximately 60% travel.This position will report to the Vice President, Business Development and based on the West Coast.The right Candidate will: Have an Executive presence, able to speak to and conduct business with all levels within an organization, exhibiting superior speaking ability and presentation skills, extremely detail oriented and an above average aptitude for maintaining and growing interpersonal relationships.
