Sales Engineer - Voice Sales
Work Location: 401 North 117th Street Reports to: Manager, Cox Business Sales Pay Range: Minimum: $51,819 Midpoint: $78,434 Plus Annual Target Variable Opportunity: 25% of base salary Work Days: Monday-Friday
The Voice Sales Engineer accompanies Account Executives and Outside Sales Representatives on sales visits, performs site surveys, defines product/applications requirements, and makes product recommendations. The position also assists in developing solutions as needed and works with the Account Services Coordinators and Network Engineering to ensure orders are properly configured, accurate and completed per the customer's specifications. The Voice Sales Engineer works primarily with telephony and SIP-based product solutions and assists product management in the technical implementation of product development roll-out teams..
Core Responsibilities: `Accompanies Outside Sales Representatives and Account Executives on sales visits, and assists in determining customer requirements and developing proposals. `Conducts site surveys to determine customer requirements and network compatibility to contribute to the creation of identifying customer solutions that align with our network. `Interfaces with customers and vendors to ensure the integrity of Cox proposals. `Develops and executes technical presentations and technical product applications training to internal/external groups/individuals as needed. `Reviews proposals created by Outside Sales Representatives and Account Executives to provide necessary input and actively supports customer RFP process. `Serve as a liaison between Sales and Engineering to ensure customer expectations are communicated and understood providing technical expertise in the sale and design. Interface with Operations & Engineering to ensure network availability/serviceability before orders are finalized. `Completes training for customers where appropriate, such as areas with more integrated platforms, to ensure that the services purchased perform to the customerııs specifications. `Works with product management in technical implementation of new products as active part of product rollout teams, to ensure the sales teamııs technical understanding of new products, as well as coordination the technical aspects of product rollouts with network engineering, switching operations, field services and transport operations. `Works with the Network Engineering and the test lab to ensure the feasibility of all new/custom applications and customer requested solutions. `Understands the Voice and SIP network and all product applications residing on those networks. `As the Voice Specialist, communicates Voice and SIP network and product application changes to the sales engineers, project coordinators and technical support as appropriate. `Provides feedback on products to product management and corporate. `Participates on Solution Development Teams created for large/complex customers. `Remains current on technical information regarding Coxııs telephony, SIP, data, or video products and services through completion of required/recommended training program.
