Holiday Inn Arena is recruiting a Chief Engineer to oversee, and direct staff during current renovations. Will monitor work performance, and
provide assistance when needed.
Holiday Inn Arena is a full service convention center with 237 guest rooms, several conference rooms, restaurant, and lounge.
Chief Engineer will report directly to Chief Operating Officer, General Manager.
Must be experienced with:
Interviews, hires, and the legal standards of discharges.
Determines work priority, crew and equipment requirements, and assigns workers tasks during renovations, and daily hotel maintenance repairs to rooms.
Works closely with General Manager to develop plans and schedules for maintenance and improvement of building and grounds.
Assists workers in performing work when completion is critical.
Observes ongoing work to ascertain if work is being performed according to instructions and will be completed on time.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Must have at least 2 years experience in management, along with maintaining a large facility residential building.
Must be flexible to cover as needed.
