The Business Value Realization (BVR) Business Analysis Director is responsible for aligning assigned projects with the S&P Business Value Realization Framework. This position is deemed critical to envisioning, creating and sustaining business value realization and performance excellence throughout Standard & Poors. This includes leading project managers, business analysts, business champions and other stakeholders in the development of strategies and operational plans for quantifying and measuring the tangible financial (revenue, cost, capital at risk) and operational outcomes (efficiency, effectiveness, quality) expected from business and technology investments. Facilitate analysis of business cases and project requirements together with project business analysts and business champions to assess, prioritize and define expected business outcomes and tactical steps for measurement and reporting. Create Business Value Realization plans that encompass all expected business outcomes including operational and financial benefits and document strategies/approaches for measurement. Evolve plans as needed as project progresses. Working with business outcome owners, design and implement decision support tools that will be used to measure performance and provide the transparency to take action when needed. This includes metric/KPI definition, design of visual dashboard formats and methods of reporting, and operationalizing KPIs through data collection, analysis, and proof of concept demonstrations. Ensure the effective coordination of operational and financial ROI measurement for project and programs assigned in partnership with the BVR Sr. Business Analyst. This includes calculating initial baseline ROI and updating ROI as cost/benefit profile of the project changes over time. Lead continuous improvement efforts to maintain ongoing relevance of KPIs and effective business outcome reporting through enduser outreach as part of the BVR Continuous Improvement Program. Serve as the technical advisor to S&P project teams and inject, directly and through the business analyst network, enhanced business impact thinking, acumen and outcomes measurement expertise. Partner and collaborate withthe BVR team, other Operational Performance member groups, Ratings Operations, Finance, IT, HR and other parts of S&P to execute on firm-wide measurement and reporting initiatives as needed. Min 10 yrs work experience in Management Consulting, Operations, and/or Strategy Proven success in developing performance objectives and measures, cause and effect linkages, and implementing performance measurement frameworks like the balanced scorecard Experience conducting strategic, performance management assignments within major financial institutions, and/or other Fortune 500 companies and presenting results to senior level executives Experience bridging the different viewpoints of project stakeholders and senior level executives regarding project business impacts Expert skill in the visual display of business data and information Advanced PowerPoint and Executive Presentation skills Advanced Excel and analytical skills; Proficient in MS Visio and Project. Decisive, flexible, and resourceful leader able to work in a fast-paced and matrix environment MBA preferred
