Palletizer

1. Position Summary
This position is responsible for properly stacking the correct amount of product onto chep pallets.

2. Principal Accountabilities
• Perform all work in a safe manner.
• Stack correct amounts and right pallet configuration onto pallet.
• Fill out pallet tickets with correct information.
• Visually inspect quality of product as stacked (carton integrity, etc.).
• Cover breaks of other stackers.
• Clean and sweep up stacking area and general housekeeping.
• Be involved with KTE through departmental and machine teams to continuously improve
• overall plant performance.
• Operate pallet wrapper when needed, including operate forklift.
• Other duties as assigned.

3. Working Environment
Work is performed on the manufacturing floor or in the freezer/warehouse area. Potential hazards include proximity of moving machinery, chemical exposure, noise, or heavy lifting. The position may require an individual to stand, stoop, move equipment; bend, reach, or lift for prolonged periods of time. PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection and sanitary footwear.

4. Knowledge and Skill Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES
• Learn all functions of job within reasonable time.
• Use math skills to calculate quantities accurately.
• Learn pallet configurations.
• Be able to work in –20 degree temperatures, and lift/carry cases of product from conveyer to pallets in a safe and efficient manner.
• Able to list up to 50 lbs. routinely throughout shift.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Forklift experience.
• Experience palletizing.
• Warehouse inventory management
