Under broad general direction leads the corporation's efforts to protect the company's assets and earnings against catastrophic accidental loss. Directs risk control activities to identify, measure, and minimize the number and cost of such losses and accidents.

Primary Duties:
ýýý Working with the businesses, identify and manage potential sources of risk.

ýýý Develop creative methods to minimize the overall cost of risk through appropriate combinations of loss control, self-insurance, insurance, and enterprise risk management.

ýýý Measure and analyze business unit risk performance. Suggest risk avoidance and corrective programs as necessary.

ýýý Communicate with senior corporate and business management regarding business unit performance and major risk issues which may impact the corporation.

ýýý Function as the liaison with the global insurance markets and maintain effective relationships with major industry participants

ýýý Direct negotiations for coverages and cost of new and renewal insurance programs.

ýýý Manages the selection of vendors, service providers and brokers.

ýýý Effectively lead, manage and develop staff.

ýýý Manage SOX and other compliance requirements as necessary.

ýýý Strong business acumen, MBA preferred.

ýýý Ten or more years risk management experience in a large multinational corporation.

ýýý Knowledge of enterprise risk management.

ýýý Knowledge of captive insurance companies.

ýýý Knowledge of International risk management.

ýýý Strong financial orientation.

ýýý Auto industry and/or Building efficiency experience preferred

ýýý Moderate travel is required due to global nature of company operations
