Our materials are found in products touching nearly every facet of modern living. Job Objective: Work as part of a team to produce quality products as defined by our customers and the company. Function as part of a safe and environmentally sound manufacturing team. Comply with all policies, procedures, and rules. Participate as needed in safety and environmental teams. Enter recipes into process control data bank, monitor and record process run data and monitor QC data to ensure product runs within specification. Provide date retrieval information for inventory control purposes.
Essential Functions: Complete SAP training required. Receive and review PI Sheets for production run. Program process computer system to run specific recipes. Work with Quality Control to store data on specific formulation and equipment variables necessary to provide quality product within specification range. Prior to start up, check all working fixtures and machinery needed to run Process control (i.e. air compressor, chiller, hydraulic pump, gates, doors, day tanks, raw tanks, ISO tanks, screens, dust collector, wet scrubber, RTO). Understand and apply start up procedures for the mixer from a cold, warm or hot start. Understand and apply the shut down procedures for the mixer under normal and emergency conditions. Understand and use proper PPE to complete any task relevant to production. Education / Qualifications: Education - High school diploma or equivalent. - Preferred: Special equipment or tech school training; vocational or related college courses preferred.
Special Requirements: Physical: Sitting, carrying, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, traveling, drive a forklift, climbing, lifting 50 pounds and operating a jack hammer. Also perform physical activities in hot, cold and wet environments, able to wear PPE (e.g., hard hat, eye protection, steel toed footwear, coveralls, full face respirator, hearing protection). Aptitudes: Must possess the ability to understand the meaning of words and their ideas, as well as instructions and their underlying principles. Perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately, and possess eye-hand motor coordination. Temperaments: Must have the ability to accept responsibility, perform duties under stress, adapt to situations requiring preciseness, and adapt to changing duties and responsibilities. Must be able to adapt to situations involving the interpretation of feelings, ideas, or facts; be able to influence people in the opinions, attitudes, or judgments; and be able to generalize, evaluate, make decisions, and perform repetitive work.
