The Paralegal/Senior Paralegal supports two attorneys in EQT's Charleston, WV office. Responsibilities include the following:Reviews and summarizes documents;Performs record and document research, including Secretary of State filings, corporate history and governance documents, deeds, leases, easements, settlement agreements, other agreements and documents;Performs legal research, including case law, legal treatises, statutes, and regulations;Creates and maintains legal files;Reviews contracts and letters for accuracy and content;Prepares reports and summaries;Drafts and revises correspondence;Drafts and revises legal documents using provided forms, including deeds, settlement agreements, leases, and easements;Meets with and interviews third parties and summarizes high points and action items for supervisor;Works with EQT personnel, outside attorneys and opposing parties on basic legal issues with supervisor’s guidance;Provides assistance with preparation for and closing of various transactions;Tracks legal costs and prepares reports and graphs of trends;Acts as initial point of contact for certain inquiries made by internal personnel and outside parties;Performs certain executive assistant functions, including scheduling meetings, taking phone calls and messages, ensuring deadlines are understood and planned for, scanning documents, making copies and mailing letters; andCodes, processes and tracks legal invoices. Required SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPointProficient with legal research tools, including Westlaw or LexisExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to manage projects, following through on assignments and managing deadlinesHigh degree of initiative, attention to detail and accuracy, timeliness and ability to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish positive relationships at all levels, including senior executivesAbility to juggle multiple priorities and deal with time sensitive issues in an effective manner Required ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least three years of paralegal experience, which demonstrates a knowledge of the described job dutiesAssociate's degree in paralegal studies or a paralegal certificate Grade 12/13 - This job is part of a career ladder.
