The selecteddietitian will work directly with patients with cystic fibrosis in the setting of the Adult Cystic Firbrosis Center. We are looking for commitment to a group of very ill young adults; theperson MUST fit with the patients, the situation, and the rest of the Cystic Fibrosis team.
In this role, you will assess nutritional needs, communicate the care plan through our written record system, provide counseling to individuals and families, guide food selection and ensure adherence to standards. In addition, you will correlate your dietary plans with other health team members and develop the discharge plan in tandem with other disciplines.
This position works in collaboration with the physician, nurse, social worker, a respiratory therapist to evaluate the dietary needs of the cystic fibrosis patients.Thedietitian must keep up with Cystic Fibrosis literature as related to nutrition.
Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition required; ADA Registration and active membership also essential; Must be able to work Tuesdays evenings from 5pm to 8 pm; The person selected must be very patient and be very good with people and have knowledge of Cystic Fibrosis related diet and nutrition issues;MUST attend the CF conference at least once every 2 years.
