The E-Commerce Inventory Planning Manager will provide key leadership and expertise for managing and executing company inventory management goals for SpeedoUSA.com. Key responsibilities include planning inventory levels and purchase strategies to achieve sales plan, gross margin, inventory, turnover and open-to-buy goals. Responsibilities: * Assist in determining site merchandise assortment & pricing strategy * Set up line plans & forecast appropriate inventory levels by sku based on sales plan. * Placement of initial and future orders based on historical performance to support Open-to-Buy, merchandise assortment plan & marketing objectives. * Issue, maintain, track and follow-through on all Purchase Orders. * Set up and maintain Models to ensure adequate levels of inventory to support sales demand * Identify potential inventory liabilities and recommend strategies to bring quantities down to desirable level. * Responsible for performance tracking, reporting, ad-hoc reports and analysis. * Collaborate with E-Commerce Team to maintain on-going marketing calendar & ensure it is supported by product availability and inventory levels. * Partner with management to set product pricing strategy for end of season markdowns and pricing to maximize profit and turn over. * Recognizing opportunities in the business through analysis of trends; and making recommendations for future action. * Advocate best practices and new industry trends and opportunities for increased web sales and online branding. * Use Omniture and other tracking tools to make strategic and tactical recommendations, benchmark, measure and analyze results of on-line initiatives. * Partner with IT and Web Teams during the development and implementation stages of new website initiatives. * Partner with IT and Planning teams for implementation and integration of Demand Solutions system into E-commerce business.
