Senior Telecom Sales Engineer


JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting Enterprise or Carrier Account Executives with selling services, performs site surveys, provides estimates, and makes product recommendations. Also responsible for assisting in developing solutions as needed, along with network diagrams, and is a subject matter expert for all services provided by CBS. Works primarily with telephony, transport, video, and data solutions, and is responsible for gathering all technical information and provisioning details for services to make for a smooth transition to operations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Accompanies Account Executives on exploratory meetings and sales visits.
Assists Account Executives with determining customer requirements and developing proposals.
Conducts site surveys to determine customer requirements and network compatibility.
Develops and executes technical presentations to internal and external groups as needed.
Reviews proposals created by Account Executives and provides input as necessary.
Interfaces with customers and vendors to ensure the integrity of Coxýýs proposals.
Works with design teams and Product Management to ensure feasibility of new/custom products and solutions.
Interfaces with Operations and Engineering to ensure network availability/ serviceability before orders are finalized.
Understands the core network and communicates network changes to the sales team.
Works with Product Management as an active part of product rollout teams to ensure the sales teamýýs understanding of new products.
Provides feedback and insight on products to corporate and helps to promote new product development.
Provides input to Order Entry Specialists and Project Managers in order to complete orders in a timely fashion.
Leads solution development teams created for large/complex customers.
Remains current on technical information regarding Coxýýs telephony, transport, video, and data products and services through completion of required/recommended training classes.
Acts as subject matter expert to support Sales Engineers.
Performs other duties as required.
