Specific Knowledge, Skill, & Experience Required:

The Aircraft Servicer services the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) P-3 aircraft, performing any combination of the following tasks; directs incoming and outgoing aircraft near the CBP flight line parking area to assist pilotýý s maneuvering of the aircraft on the ground, using hand signals or with guiding lights, and secures aircraft in the parking position with blocks, and/or tie downs as required. The qualified applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of recent P-3 aircraft experience in performing daily inspections, troubleshooting and servicing of aircraft systems to replenish fuel, oil, water, waste system chemicals, oxygen, hydraulic fluid, and to remove waste, enters in the maintenance records description of the servicing performed. Candidate checks for fuel contamination by draining sumps and fuel drains; operates ground support equipment such as electrical power carts and engine / auxiliary power units, examines tires for specified air pressures and condition, assists in jacking and towing aircraft. When required, candidate shall assist in completing isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, and must read and interpret manufacturersýý and customer provided maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and other specifications in performance of tasking. FAA Airframe & Powerplant or repairmanýý s certificate may be required, with ability to obtain certification within a specified period of time. Additional job duties are required but not limited to: performs preflight and post-flight maintenance inspections, miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, tow and jack aircraft, and enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily. Employment is dependent upon successful background security and drug screen.Minimum of 2 years of flightline experience on the P-3 type aircraft. Well versed in maintenance requirement cards in relation to daily and turnaround inspections. Able to monitor and service all P-3 systems for day to day flight schedule support. Must have a drivers license and be able to train and operate all groud dupprt equipment.
