Specific Knowledge, Skill, & Experience Required:
The qualified applicant must have a minimum of 7 years of recent aircraft maintenance experience in the repair of airframe and engines of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including, but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, and modification of structural components. Candidate applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation. FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate required. This candidate also applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturersýý manuals / specifications. Work at this level typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. Additional job duties are required but not limited to: performs corrosion control, preflight and post-flight maintenance inspections, miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, tow and jack aircraft, and enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily. Candidate must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike, excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedules. This candidate will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records, and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft maintenance and/or modification efforts. Employment is dependent upon successful background security and drug screen.7 years experience on the P-3 type airframe. Skilled in trouble shooting all systems and related subsystems for the airframe and powerplants.
