The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation, located in the Southwestern Alaskan town of Bethel, is entrusted with ensuring the health of a culture whose spirit of caring is equally as strong as yours. Join our fully accredited, 50-bed general acute care facility, where services include adult med/surg, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging. Your compassionate care will help to reinvigorate the health of the over 50 rural communities who come to us for care. The employee in this position provides early intervention services to families of eligible children ages birth to three in the YK Delta. This employee will administer eligibility testing, conduct developmental assessments, write thorough reports, provide transition services and be responsible for development and implementation of the IFSP. This employee will organize family contacts, conduct playgroups, provide family follow-up, and effectively collaborate with community partners such as Head Start, ONC, AVCP, OCS and the different school districts. This employee will be an integral part of the ILP team and will provide value added ideas, quality control, and ILP service excellence. An ability to meet many deadlines is imperative, and effective communication is paramount. This employee will travel frequently to the different villages served by YKHC and will be comfortable traveling in small planes. *Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology. *1 year of experience working in a field of Early childhood or preschool activity. Knowledge. Home visiting experience preferred. Experience with Special Needs children preferred. *Type A certification or applicable license. Infant CPR. Membership in professional organizations encouraged. * SEED screening tool. ASQ. ASQ-SE) screening tools). Other screening tools are requested. *Training in Neurodevelopmental treatment, Applied Behavior Analysis, Positive Behavioral Supports, Language Instruction, specialized strategies and trainings, leading play groups. *Signing off on paraprofessional staff documents.
