JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Transportation and Security Department, drives and maintains the courtesy motor vehicle, performing pick-up and delivery of patients to and from Weiss Hospital.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Current drivers license in the State of Illinois; compliant driving record.
2. CPR and Basic Life Support
3. The ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
4. The ability to plan transportation routes, which are the most direct and time efficient. A familiarity with the geographic areas which would allow for save and efficient transportation to hospital and patient homes.
5. The interpersonal skills necessary to meet, greet, and converse with patients. Understands and upholds the principles set forth by the Weiss value initiative and customer service standards as set forth by departmental and hospital policy.
6. The ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects; assists with patient transfer to and from the van.
