Metro is now the second largest newspaper in all of New England and we are still the pioneer of & expert in creative advertising. JOB DESCRIPTION: Metro is currently seeking a Traffic & Production Manager in their Philadelphia office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Oversee and manage production and traffic department Accept and approve ad material, ensuring that the ad adheres to size agreed upon, ad placements and that it is properly inserted to adhere to galley Create daily galleys, review final layout and send print order daily Speak with printer to confirm arrival and quality of delivered pages Prioritize and distribute workload to designers Back up production staff when needed to book and design ads Placing ads in quark pages from MPS Manage the roll out of brand extensions Work directly with marketing to gather creative requests for production (in-house ads, fillers, barters, and other special placements) Setup and maintenance of the Ad Booking system and settings (entering new users, new editions for brand extensions, sections, sizes, pricing, etc.) Ensure all orders are approved by credit and update adbooking queue. Providing missing ads lists to sales reps Trafficking camera ready ads from clients and sales reps to production Order/ad revisions (sizes, price changes, cancellations, etc.) Creation of all relevant traffic reports for Sales, Finance, and Management QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years traffic & production experience Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Must be team-oriented, extremely motivated and able to manage a team Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines Ability to operate within a fast-paced environment Metro offers a full benefits package (including medical, dental, 401K, paid vacation and more) along with a competitive base salary plus commission.
