Join the Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center as an on-call, rotating/variable shift EVS (Housekeeping) Worker! The successful candidate will be responsible to clean and service the main interior of the hospital to include: strip, wax, buff floors and cleans carpets as required; gather and dispose of trash throughout the hospital; vacuum carpeted floors and dust; and clean patient rooms, ER, OR and all ancillary areas. Must be a hard worker, able to work rotating/variable shifts, and will be HIGHLY DEPENDABLE! Requirements for the position are: Current State of Alaska drivers license with a clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Able to work a flexible schedule Must be able to read, write and speak English Preference will be given to those candidates that have a High School Diploma or equivalent and/or Six (6) months of hospital or commercial housekeeping experience.
