Job Advertised by HOSPITAL JOBS ONLINE- Job Category: Rehab Therapy FTE: 1 Department: Total Joint Support Experience Required: Per Position Description Shift: Day Education Required: Per Position Description Work Schedule: 8am-5pm Submit a profile without selecting a job Position Description POSITION SUMMARYThe Clinical Orthopaedics Coordinator practices at management level and assumes the responsibility for the implementation and integration of human and material resources necessary to care for a population of patients receiving designated orthopaedic surgical procedures. The Clinical Orthopaedics Coordinator will implement the goals and mission statement of Good Samaritan Hospital within the Total Joint Center and other surgical orthopaedic settings and participate in planning and decision making that impacts these programs. QUALIFICATIONSSpecialized education and training in total joint replacements (i.e., coursework or clinical training). Specialized education and training in general orthopaedic surgical procedures including spine and fracture repair (i.e., coursework or clinical training). Three to five years experience in orthopedic acute care hospital setting preferred. Able to effectively organize and lead team meetings and performance improvement projects. Able to proactively engage with the community to foster strong physician relations. Able to proactively engage with professional staff to foster a strong, collaborative teamwork environment. Project management experience preferred. Budgetary and managerial experience preferred. Able to communicate verbally and in writing to patients, visitors, physicians and staff.EDUCATIONCurrently licensed as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in the State of Washington. Bachelor of Science degree required. Advanced degree or certification in related field preferred.
