This job was created through ARRA funding. Family Worker with local Head Start program. Responsible for orienting parents to the Head Start Program and SCAP through recruitment, home visits, center contacts, telephone and other ways as assigned. Provides referrals to families regarding other SCAP services, community resources and assists families as appropriate. Meets regularly with center staff at scheduled case conferences and team meetings to discuss families, transportation, attendance problems, health and social services related concerns.
