Job Summary:
This position will perform duties pertaining to the overall aesthetic maintenance of the property's grounds, landscaping, gardens, trees and aquatic life. Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems.
Job Responsibilities:
ııı Design, plan and coordinate plant material installation including annuals, perennials, ground covers, shrubs, trees, turf grass and tropical plants. Plant care includes planting, watering, cleaning, fertilizing, pruning and mulching.
ııı Inspect the gardens for damage by pests, physical damage and environmental conditions. Report problems to the appropriate supervisor.
ııı Assist with the research and selection of new plant materials.
ııı Install and maintain aquatic systems.
ııı Perform daily grounds maintenance including trash removal, removal of dead plants and area cleaning.
ııı Perform foliage bulb color replacements.
ııı Maintain and monitor irrigation systems and discuss changes in frequency or duration with the Supervisor.
ııı Perform special projects as required.
ııı Operate turf and landscape power equipment safely on a daily basis.
ııı May be required to install, maintain, and remove Christmas lights.
ııı Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
ııı Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
ııı Experience: Minimum of three years experience in landscaping or a horticulture related field required. Advanced knowledge of tropical plants required. Working knowledge of turf and horticulture equipment, planting, and pruning required. Strong communication skills required.
ııı Licenses/Certifications: Certified Landscape Technician preferred.
Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record required.
