We have an immediate position open for aPreventative Maintenance Mechanicto work on our fleet ofgarbage trucks at ourArnold, CAsite.Mechanics interested in secure, steady employment are encouraged to apply. The hours are9 a.m to 6 pm.Mon-Friday.This position pays between $14-15 and hr depending upon experience.

Responsibilities include:
ııı Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services. Performs inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment. ııı Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs. ııı Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment. ııı Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. ııı Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. ııı Performs maintenance related work as required. ııı Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. ııı Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. ııı Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
The ideal candidate will possess:
ııı 2 years experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair; or completion of accredited vocational technical school program. ııı CDL preffered ııı State MVR a plus. ııı Provide personal tools. ııı Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair. ııı Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information.
