DescriptionStrategic Planner will work as part of the Enterprise IT Strategy and Planning team. The Strategic Planner must project a professional demeanor, utilizing oral and written communication skills of the highest quality. Interpersonal skills are extremely important as this position requires working with a senior professional staff, high-level government leadership, and mid- to high-level government leadership within the Intelligence Community (IC) agencies. The Strategic Planner must be self-motivated, flexible, and willing to take the initiative on tasks supporting leadership. RESPONSIBLITIES The primary responsibilities are to: Participate in the development and communication of IC information technology (IT) strategic plans and investment strategiesParticipate in the creation and implementation of IT performance planning initiativesSupport the Government leadership in preparing and submitting quarterly and annual Office of Management and Budget (OMB) deliverablesParticipate as a team member in focused short-term IT-related studiesWork with the existing team to support on-going processes and activitiesRespond to information requests and tasking related to assigned focus areaPerform other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Required: Prior experience in strategic planning at the executive level within the ICPrior experience in performance planning, such as developing performance metricsPossess a good working knowledge of the principles of systems engineering, portfolio management, and enterprise architecturePossess a solid understanding of the IT issues being addressed in the IC todayPossess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write at the executive levelWillingness to travel locally (within the Washington DC Metropolitan area)12-15 years work experience as an individual contributor, to include at least 7 years within the ICBachelors degree in a technical/engineering field or IT-related field Desired: Prior experience with preparing OMB deliverablesMasters degree in a technical/engineering field or IT-related fieldPrior experience with multiple IC agencies/organizationsAbility to work comfortably in a multi-vendor, high-energy environment
