Contract and Commercial Terms Manager/Heavy Contract Negotiation Experience Required! The Contract and Commercial Terms Manager will work with internal business managers, sourcing organization, and Corporate Counsel to enter into contracts that ensure the company successfully manages its quality, costs, and risks with suppliers. In addition, this person will document, communicate, and improve their supplier sourcing and contract-related processes. Position Responsibilities: Reviewing all contracts for the firm in conjunction with Legal and Finance to ensure sound business terms / pricing Identifying and introducing improvements to contracting, contract management, buyer education, and other sourcing-related processes Interacting with all departments in the firm and providing high quality customer service Position Requirements: 6+ years of contracting experience in a legal and/or sourcing & negotiations capacity across a wide range of categories is a must; specific knowledge of software/hardware, market/exchange data, back office operations, consulting services, outsourcing, facilities management, and human resources are all a plus Self starter, hard-working individual with a strong customer service focus Process oriented, highly organized, with a strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize and process a high volume of work while maintaining the highest quality Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to build relationships and develop internal and external partnerships. Experience in a model serving one or more departments of a firm Pragmatic, good business judgment and common sense Capable of excelling in the company’s culture of meritocracy, transparency, constant improvement, and excellence Bachelor’s degree Preferred Skills: Familiarity with contract database/administration tools A law degree (a plus, but not required) Familiarity with investment management or 'the lifecycle of a trade' (a plus, but not required) Experience managing contracting on the sales side (a plus, but not required)
